Lakefront Brewery was visited on June 23, 2001. The 'NEW'
location of Lakefront Brewery is superb... right on the river in a area
combining the old Milwaukee with the up-and-coming. The picture here does
the building no justice. As I and the other P.A.L.S. can attest, the building
is grand, decked out in cream city brick. Whoa, and the inside is incredible
also with those wooden floors and high, high ceilings. |

The 'tour' has definitely changed for Lakefront. For instance we could actually get lost (to a degree) in the new building, there is a capacity for more tourists, and there is activity galore what with riverboat rides, weddings, etc., etc.. While the information imparted was as interesting as ever, the beer consumption was limited to four (which really is plenty as the 'pours were generous') whereas the original tours had unlimited consumption before and after. Ah... but the best news is that the beer was and is as good as ever. A few of the P.A.L.S. were delighted to have been offered the new taste of Belgian White along with Six Points Lager and Fuel Cafe. Eh, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the classic taste of and long standing favorite of Klisch. All and all Lakefront rates high in Brewery Tours and micro-brews! A great time had by all in P.A.L.S. |
