Look at it this way... win or lose, when you can say you've wrestled the WWF Champion at Madison Square Garden, you've done something! Diesel was the champ and had been for over a month. I'd been out with an injury for about the same period of time, and this was my second match back.

I had a distraction at ringside in Sting, but I still took it straight to the big man. I BlackJacked him and just about had him down for the 3 count. But it wasn't to be, and after kicking out of one JackKnife, Diesel got me with a second one.

I didn't win, but I gave a damn good effort, and it was just my second match back. Diesel said in his pre-match interview that it was time to find out if I was a pretender or a contender... and I think I showed everybody on what side of the fence ol' Double J stands on.
