"Double J" Jeff Jarrett vs. The Undertaker

Date: March 10, 1997

Card: Monday Night Raw

Site: Corestates Center; Philadelphia, PA

This match was important on so many levels, I'd need a few pages to explain fully. But I'll try to break it down as best I can. About two months earlier, the Undertaker had been responsible for puttin' me on the shelf, thanks to 4 Tombstone Piledrivers on the floor. This was my return match, and you can bet I wanted some revenge.

Not only that, this was a first round match in the Intercontinental Title tournament, a belt that I wanted my hands on more than anything else. And on this very night, I dropped the nWo and took my first steps towards bein' my own man.

Things didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped in this one, but this is where ol' Double J started impressin' some people. Yeah, the Taker pinned me, but only after THREE Tombstones! Who else has ever needed three Tombstones to be finished off? What's that, you said? Nobody? That's what I thought.
