Alabama 4/98 Tornado Pictures Page 3

The following pictures were either taken by me or for me with my camera.
There is an explantion below each of them telling what they are and where taken.

The above pictures are of an area that was down in a small valley. There
was things scattered all over the ground and some stuff hanging in the
trees and on the fence line. You can see that there has already been
some clean up started by the sawing of the trees in the last picture.

Please don't think that I am a "morbid" person, but when I get a day off while
on a Disaster, I like to drive around the country side and see the different
sights. One of the things that I like to look for are cemetaries that have the
very old graves. The dates of them can tell a bit of history of the area such as
how long ago it was "first settled". In my travels, I came across the above
cemetary. It is the McDonald Chapel Cemetary and as you can see from the
sign in the first picture, it has been declared a Historical Site. "Mother Nature"
doesn't care if it's a home or an area that is Sacred, she wreaks havoc on all of
it. I could tell that this was a very well kept cemetary before the tornado hit it.
