One
Hit ...Wondering is a collection of songs written or co-written
by William Kitchens. The album was put together to showcase his
talents as a writer and features some very fine performances from
a wide variety of new up and coming artists. Donny Sawyer, Jamie
O'Neil, Darin Robbins, and Danny Lewis are just a few of the
great singers who lent their vocal skills to the project. The
record also includes four performances by William himself and
features the Kitchens & Ferrell comedy rap version of
"Bad Dog, No Biscuit".
The musicians and producers who worked on some of these tracks are world class to say the least. David Hungate (Toto), Randy Brown (Curtis Mayfield), Randy Sorrells (Paul Davis, Brad Hawkins), George Clinton (Alabama, K.T. Oslen) and Ron Cornelius (Bob Dylan) just to name a few.
Having had the success with "Bad Dog" William decided to call this collection of demos "One Hit ...Wondering" as in wondering why more of his songs haven't been recorded yet. After hearing these samples you'll probably feel the same way. Given a little more time no one will be wondering anymore!
