Friends
Are Flowers in life's Garden
When I
was young my Mother told a story.
About
a special garden
Where
she said that only seed of friendship grow.
And if
you planted seed of friendship wisely.
You'ld
find out just how easy it can be,
To make
a friendship garden grow.
She said
a friend is someone you can count on.
To share
your happy times with you,
And be
there when you're feeling sad and blue.
That
if you gave what you received in friendship.
You'ld
know the joy and happiness,
That
only those who share true friendship do.
And she
said......
Friends
Are Flowers in Life's Garden.
You cultivate
them tenderly,
And water
them with tears of joy and pain.
And every
time you see a flower blossom.
You'll
know the friends you have today,
Will
be there when the sun comes up again.
Down through
the years I've planted seeds of friendship.
I've
watched them grow and multiply,
And blossom
like the flowers in the spring.
Some
last a while and others last forever.
As friendship
gives so it receives,
And that's
the joy that friendship gardens bring.
Each
time I wander out into my garden.
And see
the flowers blooming,
Every
one of them is like a friend I know.
Each
petal on each flower holds a memory.
And I'm
reminded of the story,
That
my Mother told so long ago.
When she
said.....
Friends
are Flowers on Life's Garden.
You cultivate
them tenderly,
And water
them with tears of joy and pain.
And every
time you see a flower blossom.
You'll
know the friends you have today,
Will
be there when the sun comes up again.
Yes....
Every
time you see a flower blossom.
You'll
know the friends you have today.
Will
be there when the sun comes up again.

For her
Wedding Day

pathways
of love
Two Strangers
wandered down two separate pathways.
But
they don't know just where their paths will go.
Until
one day their pathways come together.
They
meet and then a friendship starts to grow.
They journey
down the path toward the future.
Ahead
the bridge of love comes into view.
And as
they cross the bridge they both discover.
A love
that they both think just might be true.
They travel
down the path of love together.
Cross
bridges that are placed along the way.
Each
bridge is but a test that they must conquer.
To make
their love grow stronger day by day.
One day
along the path there in the distance.
They
see an arch of flowers bright and gay.
And as
they pass beneath the arch of flowers.
They
find that they have reached their Wedding Day.
And now
they stand before us in the archway.
As they
hold hands they both will say "I Do".
These
strangers who began on separate pathways.
now know
the love they share is really true.
from here
they'll travel down one single pathway.
Where
love in always just a kiss away.
The bridges
they now cross will make them stronger.
And help
them keep the vows they make today.
Two strangers
know they now belong together.
Let's
pray that God will bless their Wedding Day.
