Pam.......
We drove down Highway 99 from Mackenzie and as we pulled into Lac Le Hache I said to Doug..."You know we DON'T have to go anywhere so why don't we stop here?" It was 4:00 by then and I wanted to at least Feel the sun except from the car. We pulled into this little resort set on the lake called Shoreline. They gave us a camping spot right at the lake edge and lickety split we had the tent up and the deck chairs out.
It is a gorgeous lake...still as a penny with water skiiers going by on the other side. I took off to the little town of Lac La Hache and picked up some milk and supplies and we had a lovely supper under the setting sun. It was glorious looking at the silvers and pinks reflected off the lake.

These pictures of Lac La Hache do not come close to showing the beauty of the site. This was the first attempt of putting a tent up in years and my Boy Scout training came into play. Poor directions and a tent that was borrowed gave me my first test of patience. But the consumate professional that I am, I figured it out. Our camping site was right beside the beach and we could listen to the waves lapping on the shore all night, whenever Pam wasn't snoring.
Ahhhhhh,,,,,, the first really relaxing night of our holidays. The full moon was out and hardly a cloud in the sky. We woke up to a mist on the water and the mournful calling of a Loon in the background. After breakfast we jumped in the car and were off again.
The next stop was to be Marble Canyon for pictures and then Lillooet where we spent 5 years in the late 80's.
