My high school was SMA Negeri 3 Teladan, a well known state high school in Jakarta. This school is located in Setia Budi area, South Jakarta. I entered this school in 1990 and graduated in 1993. During my study there, I have entered some research competitions. In 1992, I won the first prize of physics competition held by Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia (TPI), one of the well known private national television networks in Indonesia. Beside that I was also nominated as an outstanding student when I graduated. Luckily, my achievement was honoured by University Indonesia and I was granted by the university to continue my study right there.

After finishing my high school in 1993, I continue my study in University of Indonesia taking a major in Industrial Engineering. During my study there, I have been nominated as top 10% outstanding student award by the Dean of Engineering faculty.

I completed my study in eight semesters, 146 credits, and GPA 3.28 of 4.00 scale. I graduated in 1997 after I have succeesfully defended my undergraduate thesis titled The Design of Management Information System for Bid Department Using Study Case at PT. GP Unindo Jaya.

In 1999, I continue to pursue a master degree in information systems at Bina Nusantara University, Indonesia, in cooperation with Curtin University of Technology, Australia. My study objectives are:

• To study more on the general business aspect, in order to take more managerial responsibilities.
• To learn about latest project management techniques and practices. Managing information technology projects has always been a risky endeavour, therefore I need to obtain the latest knowledge in project management to minimise the risks.
• To learn how to manage the process of moving information technology from its traditional to strategic roles in the businesses. Information technology has a great potential to lift businesses to strategic position in order to be competitive in the market place. However, managing this change is very challenging. Therefore, I need to learn the knowledge to manage this change.

Until recent time, I have finished most units required to complete this program. Some units I have completed are:

At this moment, I am currently taking 3 units; they are: Hypertext 511, Information Security 551, and Thesis. I also plan to complete my degree by next term by taking Advanced Topics in Information Systems 650 unit and Applied Decision Support System 302 unit.
