A New Life

Day dawns, awaken wrapped in warmth that springs from within
Something new, enveloping glow that was not there yesterday
Precious sense, filling up my being, deepest love spreads inside
Gentlest suspicions creep throughout my body, settling in my heart
Awareness of someone new, growing sweet life from pure love
Loves most cherished expression, joyful and frightful all at once

Parade of emotion runs freely of it’s own accord
Realisation of the responsibility bestowed with this gift
Nervous telling, met with expectant joyous celebration
We two wrapped safely and contentedly together with one between
Our intimate family of two, soon to become three and one together
New wondrous chapter of my life, our life, a life, begun
