Gilberto
has studied
at the Ontario College of Art,
Maisonneuve College in Montréal,
George Brown College
in Toronto and is a graduate of Ryerson University.
He has worked at the University of Toronto
from 1981 to 1988 at the School of Architecture
as well as the Faculty of Library and Information Sciences
providing photographic, audio-visual and graphic arts services.
Gilberto has been working as a freelance
photographer and multimedia artist /service provider since 1989.
Commissions have included portraiture, architecture,
product, industrial and editorial work. More recently he has expanded
into digital photography and desktop publishing. His self directed
personal work ranges from candid street photography,
to images of nature, still life and landscape
as well as figure studies.
Gilberto's work reflects his travels within Canada,
the U.S.A., France, the Caribbean and his native Portugal.
