Disabled Anarchist Revolutionary Enclave

or

Differently Able, Reclaimed, Empowered

DARE is a play created by four disabled actors and one non-disabled theatre director.

DARE was performed in Scottish theatres in the autumn of 1997

DARE is about four disabled freedom-fighters who are not afraid to use "bombs and bullets" (and the Internet) in their struggle against today's Genetic Scientists who are seeking to remove disability through Genetic Cleansing .

DARE believes genetics is being used to create a Master Race

DARE is violently opposed to scientists, doctors, politicians, businessmen and parents who seek to genetically contrive so-called "perfect babies".

Hitler is Not Dead
by Nabil Shaban

When a Deaf friend of mine tells me - doctors in the Seventies,
secretly tried to sterilize him,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

When a Disabled friend tells me she will be denied child benefit
if she refuses to abort her disabled child,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

When I read in Hansard that the ex-Thatcherite regime made it legal
to kill Disabled foetuses that have achieved full term,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

When I read in the newspapers Neo-Nazis escape the Penalty of the Law,
when burning down a home for disabled people,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

When I see on TV that a British doctor has murdered a Disabled kid,
by depriving it of food, drink and medication,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

When I hear a Genetic Scientist proudly proclaim
he wants to create the Perfect Baby,
then I know we have been lied to - Hitler is not Dead

poem copyright 1996 Nabil Shaban.

Whilest DARE is a piece of fiction, it should serve as a warning to us all.

I am not disabled - I am DARE

The 1998 Labour Government's Northern Ireland Secretary, Dr. Mo Mowlam, may well object to paramilitary terrorism but what about her own eugenicist views which strike terror in the hearts and minds of disabled people? In 1993, when Labour was in Opposition, I had cause to write a letter of reprimand to Dr. Mowlam, which was immediately published in The New Statesman and Society

"...our essential message to the world is a basic call to consciousness. The destruction of the Native cultures and people is the same process which has destroyed and is destroying life on this planet...That process is Western civilisation...If there is to be a future for all beings on this planet, we must begin to seek the avenues of change."
