First appearance of Sil in 1985 with Colin Baker as the Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri, his assistant in "Vengence on Varos"

In my portrayal of an evil, nasty Dr. Who monster, I was determined to get those kids back behind the sofas- they have been sitting comfortably for far too long.

Great! Parents are writing in to complain about Sil.
Only problem, as Forbes Collins predicted (the one with the mustache), I also got millions of love letters from tadpoles.

As pre-publicity for the second story of Sil - "Mind Warp" (1986), I think the BBC wanted to show a more "kiddie-friendly" Sil by having me make a guest appearance on the perrenial children's TV show "Blue Peter".
