Sirius Pictures
”We are are not just out of this world”
I created my film company Sirius Pictures in 1994 so as to make the video documentary - Another World - which was funded by the Arts Council of England.
Why did I name my company after the Dog Star, Sirius? Well, many traditions around the world has it, that Sirius, the Dog Star was / is the original home of the teachers of Mankind - That in ancient times, alien amphibian-like beings came down to earth to give us intellectual consciousness, wisdom and knowledge of arts, crafts, mathematics, geometry and a yearning to reach the stars. Across the globe traditional peoples claim these astronaut “Gods” came from Sirius. The Sumerians and ancient Egyptians, Native Americans and in present day, the Dogan tribe in Africa all the same thing and they all associate Sirius as the agent of change, the catalyst for the next step in the evolutionary process.
Traditionally, Sirius is represented by the five pointed star, the pentacle. This is both a symbol of occult knowledge, alchemical processes which seeks to transform consciousness into godlike enlightenment - and revolutionary change. Thus, on the social level, Sirius represents political change and it is no accident that all the great revolutions - American, French, Russian, Chinese - had the five pointed star as their symbols - it is as if the ancient gods of the Dog Star continue to exert their influence on human history. (53 of the 56 signatories of the American Declaration of Independence were Freemasons - and Freemasons have always known the association between the Pentacle / Pentagon and Sirius)
So I decided to form a film company that would follow in the glowing footsteps of the Ancient Astronauts of Sirius.

My favourite animal, the Wolf, is also associated with aliens (see Whitley Streiber books) and apocalyptic change. Apparently, “abductees” or victims of supernatural or paranormal events, have images of wolves or black dog-like creatures implanted in their memories.
In many traditions, the Wolf heralds the End of Time or the end of the old cycle and the beginning of the new. Thus the Wolf is also seen as a harbinger of great change.
According to Native American peoples, the Wolf is the pathfinder, the forerunner of new ideas who returns to the clan to teach and share medicine. In the Great Star Nation, Wolf is represented by the Dog Star, Sirius......
Similarly, as a disabled person I considered it appropriate to name the company after Sirius. Myths, legends, folklore and fairy tales have presented the birth of a disabled or deformed person as an omen of change. The word “monster” is originally derived from latin words meaning “ill star”, “ill omen” “star of change” or “omen of change”.
It is not surprising that my company’s motto is:
Thus, I see my film company, Sirius Pictures, as helping to bring about new and different perceptions, which would help change the world and make it a better place.
