December 1995...

Well, it’s been two weeks since the night William Pane first kissed Cindy (And what a night that was). William invited Cindy, to go with him to California for the summer, ... and she said yes (like there was, ever any doubt). The two of them left yesterday. Auriana,, Monicka and Jeanette went to see them off at the airport. Auriana’s husband, was the pilot of the plane, and he was due back in a few days. It still amazed the girls, that after their hasty marriage, after all these months, they still acted like newlyweds.

Later that night, Monicka and Jeanette tried to convince Auriana to go out with everyone, but she just wouldn't budge. She had an early flight and she wasn't about to go party (Wow that didn't just come out of her mouth!)

The two women called their friends and started to get ready. Adrian, Krista, and Margarita came over shortly afterward. Cecilia took a little longer, and came over to find the rest of the girls in an argument over which club to go to.

"Jeanette, an alternative club just will not get us dancing." Everyone looked accusingly at Jeanette.

"OK fine, so I'm out numbered in this?" Everyone nodded at Jeanette.

"Sorry Jay, but we all vote for a dance club." Monicka smiled at Jeanette.

"How about the new Spanish club that just opened up." Cecilia suggested.

"Hey I could go for that." Jeanette perked up. "Girls, that's dance!"

"Very true." Margarita and Krista said at the same time.

"OK, I think we all agree!" Cecilia managed to get everyone out of the loft.

The club was packed, and everyone was dressed to kill. The girls had nothing to worry about they all looked fantastic. They managed to find a small table beside the dance floor. They didn't want to lose their spot, so Cecilia, Jeanette and Monicka went to get everyone drinks.

"Krista, where is Steve tonight?" Margarita yelled.

"With the boys!" Krista smiled, "So now I could play!" She laughed with her friends.

"Hey where is Adrian?" Jeanette asked holding the extra drink.

"She's dancing with that guy!" Krista pointed out.

"All right for Adrian." Monicka giggled.

"I had no idea she could move like that." Cecilia's smile broadened.

"Neither did she." Krista chuckled at her sister.

"Hey Monicka." Margarita poked her sister.

"Hey Rita." Monicka mimicked.

"Isn't that they guy from your work you thought was hot?" Margarita pointed out.

"Where?" Monicka perked up.

Monicka and George

"There!" Margarita pulled her sister closer. This caused Monicka to lose her balance and fall on her sister, bringing the attention of the man in question towards them.

"Oh shit!" Monicka managed to get herself straightened out, and then she noticed that the guy her sister was pointing at was actually approaching them.

"Monicka?" The stranger's voice made Monicka's blood boil.

"Oh ... George, I didn’t know you were here." She tried to hide her nervousness.

"I thought that was you, noticed you walk in, but I didn't recognized you. You look great."

"Oh so normally I look bad?" Monicka smiled at him, purposely teasing him.

"No! You always look great, I'm just not used to you at dressed up." George amended, trying to conceal his hungry gaze. It wasn't easy, trying to be indifferent to her. He usually spent his working day trying to conceal his emotions towards her. He just wasn't sure if it was working now.

"So, I didn't know you like Spanish music." She tried to ease the tension.

"Actually my buddy over there loves it. It was his turn to choose." George pointed out to the guy dancing with Adrian.

"Really? That's one of my best friends he dancing with." Monica laughed leaning in George's direction to get a better view.

George didn't look away from Monicka; she was so close to him, he could smell her shampoo. "So Monicka, do you want to dance?"

She nodded and he stretched out his hand. Monicka placed her hand in his, and went they towards the dance floor. It was lucky for them that the song turned slow. George held on to Monicka tightly and they danced the rest of the night away.

Later on, that night, Monicka and George were just coming off the dance floor, when Jeanette came up to them.

"Jeanette! ... Oh ... I would like to introduce to you George, a friend from work. George, this is my best friend ... Jeanette."

"Nice to meet you George ... Any way, I don’t want to seem rude, but I have to go to work tomorrow, and I really should get some rest. Everyone else want's to leave, so I'm driving everyone home. Are you going to come?" Renee looked at Monicka and smiled.

"Monicka, if you don't have to get up tomorrow, I'll drive you home." George offered.

"Only if you don’t mind." Monicka smiled.

"Of course not. Jeanette, tomorrow is Sunday? Where do you work?" George already regretted asking that question, he really didn’t care, and he just wanted to be alone with Monicka.

Of course Jeanette knew that he didn’t want to start a conversation, so she quickly answered his question, "I work at Chum-City, I have to do this interview tomorrow. It’s some new movie that’s shooting here Toronto. Truthfully I haven’t even read my assignment sheet ... Well; I’ll be on my way. George you should drop by more often. Bye!" Jeanette started heading for the door.

The pair spent the rest of the night in a booth talking. They usually avoided contact with each other at work, so they had a lot to talk about. It was a while later that Monicka realized she had to go.

"Oh no ... I have a commercial shoot tomorrow, what time is it?" Monicka said as she headed for her purse.

"It’s one o’clock. Come on I’ll drive you home." They were both disappointed that the night was ending.

He drove her home, and walked her to the door. Monicka gave him a hug and was about to step inside the loft when he turned her around slowly. He started to head for her lips, giving Monicka enough time to back out if she wanted to. She didn’t want to. He started, nibbling at her lips, then slowly he started to deepen the kiss. Monicka could feel herself going weak, she quickly held on to George. The kiss went on forever, but Monicka reluctantly started to end the kiss, realizing she really did have to go. She started to head inside, when she turned around, and said, "So, George, what are you going to do to make up for tonight?"

He caught the teasing tone in her voice, and replied, "I am just going to have to take you out tomorrow night. It’s my duty, as a gentleman."

"Of course, as a lady, I cannot decline." Monicka gave him a brilliant smile and faded into the darkness of the loft.

The next day Monicka, Jeanette, and Auriana, all had to get up early. Auriana had a flight to Montreal, Jeanette had an interview assignment, and Monicka had that commercial shoot.

When she came home, she found herself alone. So she decided to make herself comfortable, she was just sitting down to watch some TV when the doorbell rang. She reluctantly got up to answering, incensed at being disturbed.

It was George. He came to take Monicka out, after all he did promise! When they were about to leave, Auriana came home. So Monicka introduced George to Auriana, and then they started to head out again, when Auriana's boyfriend at the time walked in.

Auriana took one look at him and ran into his open arms. Monicka was sneaking out the door with George, when Auriana’s boy toy called her over to introduce him to her new "Boyfriend". Monicka made the introductions, when Jeanette walked in the door.

"That’s it! Now we will never get out of here." Monicka said out loud. Everyone started laughing and Monicka and George ended up spending the evening with the gang.

A month later, George was still coming around, but now with a new title as Monicka’s Boyfriend

Please stay tuned for Jeanette's turn in Part 3!
