September 1995 ...
New Tenant ...

September 1995 ...

It was 1995; the girls had been living together for about one month. They were all single and very happy I might add. It was the start of school for all of them, and Cindy decided to audition for the new production of Beauty, the original story of Beauty and the Beast, her school was putting on.

It was an early Saturday morning, and Monicka was playing on the computer that was placed in the family room, while Jeanette and Auriana were watching TV. Cindy came into the loft like a gust of wind. She ran straight to the couch and fell over it, right on top of Jeanette.

"My God, are you tiring to kill me?" Jeanette screamed, while Monicka and Auriana laughed.

"No, but I am tiring to get your attention." Cindy's thrilled voice screamed out to the girls.

"You’ve succeeded." Monicka laughed as she looked away from the computer screen to look at her best friends.

"Well I have an announcement to make." Cindy got up and walked to stand in front of the TV, "I woke up this morning and went to check the list to see if a made it as Cossette the sorcerer."

"You made it as Cossette in the play? Congrads!" Adrian said as she walked down the stairs.

"You got it!" Auriana was ecstatic.

"Well no." Cindy’s smile was wide across her face, confusing the girls.

"Oh I see, well it was a good try, you’ll get it next time." Jeanette tried to make sense out of Cindy's expression.

"Well I think I’ll be busy for a while." Cindy was still smiling.

"Oh what would you be doing?" Auriana asked even more perplexed.

"Because I’m playing Beauty in Beauty!" Cindy screamed as the girls all yelled and ran towards her, crushing her in their hug.

"I also found something else out. Guess who is playing the Beast?" Cindy looked at the girls.

"You?" Monicka laughed.

"No! William Pane!" Cindy smiled ecstatically.

"Who is William Pane?" Adrian asked.

"I can’t believe you just said that." Jeanette said as she knew Cindy would just go on and on.

"William Pane, is the hottest Broadway star I’ve ever seen. He’s is so cute!" Cindy stern voice broke the playful mood.

"OK I’m sorry." Adrian tried to hide her smile as she looked at the girls.

"Yeah you better be sorry." Auriana laughed out loud, getting a frown from Cindy.

"So when do you start rehearsals?" Monicka asked.

"In about a month."

"So what are you girls doing tonight?" Adrian asked as Cecila and Margarita walked in.

"What do we always do on a Saturday night?" Auriana asked.

"Try to take over the world?" Monicka and Jeanette said at the same time.

"Club!" The rest of the girls shouted.

"OK, I'm calling my sister, to get ready!" Adrian called out to the scrambling women.

New Tenant ...

TOP!

It was a week later that Jeanette announced that there will be a new tenant in one of the lofts on the first floor. It was a very private man, that didn't want much attention to be placed on him.

Cindy was due to start rehearsals in a few weeks. She was ecstatic, and it was then she found a letter:

Hello, this is your new tenant downstairs. I was wondering if you could come pick up the rent cheques later on today. Thank you very much. W.P.

Cindy told Monicka about the note, and they both went downstairs to pick up the cheque's for Jeanette. The new Tenant opened the door, and Cindy took one look at him, and fainted. Monicka started laughing, and W got freaked out, and asked her why she was laughing when her roommate just fell to the floor.

Monicka answered, still not containing her laughter, "Because Cindy, has been in love with you forever . . . William Pane."

They finally got Cindy to wake up, and William explained what was going on. He didn’t want to tell them who he was, because he didn’t want the word to get around where he was going to live in Toronto.

A few months passed by and Cindy and William had become the best of friends. Cindy was really falling in love with him now, but she didn’t think he felt the same. The ironic part of the story was that he was starting to feel something for her also. (You see what happens when people play games. Everyone should fight for what they want, and not lie. See, not only are my stories entertaining, but they have messages in them too.) The play opened wonderfully, everyone loved it. The reviews were wonderful, and it played on for two months, for sold out shows. It was then that Cindy found a wonderful manager, to represent her.

After the last night the play opened, the gang (Adrian, Krista, Steve(Krista's new boyfriend), Margarita, Monicka, Raquel, Auriana, Renee, Cindy and William) went out to celebrate her success. Everyone went out dancing, while Cindy and William just sat at a table. He finally took her hand and kissed it slowly. Cindy was very surprised by his bold move, and a little confused. He held her hand tightly and said that he is leaving in two days to go back to California. "How long have you known, you were going to leave right after the play?" Cindy asked him, already knowing the answer.

"I found out three weeks ago." He answered reluctantly.

Cindy could feel the hot tears forming in the back of her eyes. She snatched her hand away, and ran outside and he immediately ran after her. Jeanette noticed what happened, so the girls ran to the window to witness the impending fight.

William caught up to Cindy and garbed her before she got into the car. He turned Cindy around and saw that she was crying.

"Cindy? Are you crying?"

"Of course I am you idiot. You’re leaving, and I’ll probably never see you again. How do you expect me to react?"

He started to laugh and gave Cindy a huge hug. She started getting angry that he had the nerve to laugh at.

"Stop laughing at me! ... I don’t need this." Cindy turned around and started to run. As she ran, she shouted to the air. "I have to be an idiot, and fall in love with him!"

William heard this and started running after Cindy (again). He grabbed her and turned her around as he said "I’ve been waiting to hear that for months now." He then bent down and kissed Cindy. A kiss she had never, in her life ever experienced. It was everything she ever wanted! All of a sudden Cindy heard shouting in the background. William slowly ended the kiss, and they both, turned around to see their friends clapping for them. Cindy and William both started laughing, and William gave Cindy another kiss. This time even better than the first, (if that is possible).

"I love you!" William finally told her when they were alone.

"I know." Cindy smiled a wicked smile.
