The Andre Grandier's Shrine

A few days later, the police arrests one of Oscar's soldiers because his riffle had disappeared.

Out of anger, Alain goes to Oscar's office taking Andre with him. He believes that is Oscar who reported the missing riffle. "Andre, you shouln't love a woman who doesn't care about you or the members of her regiment. You should stop protecting her!"

Then he challenges Oscar to a sword duel. As they fight in the middle of the rain, Andre fears for Oscar's life. She may die by Alain's hands, she may die by his own friend' s hands.

Using her skills, Oscar manages to scratch Alain and win the duel before she drops her sword. She also learns through the toughness of the baraccs that the people are dying of hunger, even her own subordinates.

A week later, the arrested soldier comes back. "It was the commander who helped to release me."

Alain can't believe what he hears; he was wrong. He turns to look at Andre. and with a look expresses his sincere apologies to him.

Sometime later, Oscar leaves with Andre to Paris on a mission, taking the carriage of a noble family with them.

But on their way, they are attacked by a group of people that recognize the carriage.

As they are being attacked, Oscar desperately calls for Andre's name:

"Don't hurt him, he is not a noble! Andre! Andre!"

Von Fersen is notified of the riot that's taking palce in Paris, and leaves with his army to save Oscar.

He rescues Oscar from the multitude. He takes her to a deserted ally and helps her gain her conciousness.

When she wakes up she can't believe it is Fersen who is with her, then she realizes that Andre is still being attacked and begins to call his name:

"Fersen let me go, I have to save Andre!"

But that at right moment, von Fersen says:

"Before you go, I have to tell you something Oscar. Something that I couldn't say before . . . I love you!"

Oscar is completely in shock. Von Fersen leaves to save Andre. Oscar cries as she calls:

"Andre, my dear Andre!"

In the meantime, von Fersen looks for Andre and saves him from being hung by the people.

Oscar stands on the deserted ally, she still can't believe what her ears just heard. She now also realizes that she loves Andre but she will not admit it to him yet. Now, Oscar won't accept Fersen's love.

Later at the Jarjayes' Mansion, Oscar and Andre recover their strength. Oscar begins to treat Andre with more affection than before. She can't ignore her feelings for Andre anymore. Neither, she can't forget Fersen's words.
