New toy for Van & Donna
(This will be an ever evolving monster.)
Bought a 30ft travel trailer for evacuation and recreational purposes. Took a while to find the right one.
Gotta have some tunes!!
Now for the remodel...Day 1
before
To the right of the picture above you can barely see where the bunk beds have been removed. This area will be converted into a room that will have a bathtub for Van and later on we will add a washer/dryer set. The little white box on the floor on the bottom right is the water heater.
Better view.
Blurry view, sorry... :^(
The following pics are of the shower area. Removed some of the wall that separates the new bathtub room from the commode/shower area. Easier for a wheelchair to roll up to the commode and tub.
This wall will be cut back to the edge of the shower. Leaving the cabinet where it is in the tub area to hold bath linens. (Not much storage on these babies. Need to save what is and create some more.
These two pics are me standing in what used to be the 'bunk room' looking out into the living area. Yeah, it is kind of dark but it was getting late.
This is the wall that is next to the lavatory, we are really 'uptown' now, phone jack and a/c controls!!!
6 cubic feet of cold for our goodies!!!
Oops!! Got so involved with using the reciprocating saw that I forgot to take some 'before' pics. Cut the wall then I grabbed the camera. As you can see I am widening the entry into the bedroom. Later on we will get a larger mattress. Van, Lulu (the mini schnauzer) and I require kingsize sleeping quarters.
Turned the bench next to the couch so that the dinette set actually made a 90 degree angle for the seating and then turned the table sideways and VOILA' we have more space and it is easier for my man Van to just roll up to the table.
Pictures of Day 2 during a needed break.
Working on getting more pics for everyone to see.
