Here are some of the samples I wove while working on the book. You can make your own designs by following the step-by-step instructions in each chapter.

To the left is the correction for Figure 1-5a, page 12. Figure 1-5b is correct, but some of the lines in 1-5a are misplaced. I hope this has not mislead anybody, and I am very sorry that I missed this when proof-reading. In the first 5 months, only 2 people asked me about this figure. I think this means you are all making your own drafts-- great!

This flower is one of the examples in the Chapter 6. There are black and white pictures (scanned images of woven cloth) in the book, but you can print out color pictures now. Be aware that some printer inks will bleed color onto the next page if stored in the book for a long time. |

Chapter 2 is about plaited twills. This scarf was woven with 10/2 Tencel yarn as warp, set at 30 epi, with a silk weft. I used mechanical dobby bars for this one. |

This sample shows a furrowed fabric from Chapter 5. The warp is black 5/2 cotton and the weft is 44/3 cotton in a gold color.

This wool throw has a dyed warp, and the design uses curves as explained in Chapter 3. |

The draft to the left is Figure 7-7, from page 74, with colors in the weft. Each weft color shows a different layer. You might not want to juggle the shuttles required to weave it in 4 colors, but it is easier to read the draft this way.
