Soo... here's the update. Tuesday 10th I had to go to the library *shudder* for my silly geography assignment which actually isn't so silly but I rant and complain about it and pretend not to be really interested in it in case I seemed like a geography geek. Oh yeah, and my T.A. is really hot. So afterwards I called Marianne since she'd wanted to go and get "the best gelato in Toronto". So I humored her - because I am always open to new adventures too. (Note: do not ever refer to Chinese Disco night again or I will kick your ass) So I ask her where it is and she says "Just around the corner from Davisville subway station". Uh huh... we get to Davisville and we start walking. and walking. and half an hour later I'm like, where exactly is this? She replies, "Eglinton and Bayview.." I stopped and looked at her and she's like, Okay fine, we'll take a cab the rest of the way. Guys, I'm not kidding - it was out near Siberia.. oops, I mean Scarborough. Map shown below... Hollywood Gelato is at 1640 Bayview Ave, and I live where the little pink dot is.
So we get out there and I look around... I'm like, honey, do you know where we are? It was the census tract that I had been studying in geography! I was like, we're in tract 194 right now. I live in number 62... haha... Ahh but I love this girl - I will go anywhere just to get gelato with her and it was definitely the best gelato I've EVER had. PLUS the guys were really hot... hehehe... psst... they're hiring too. Hmm... Jacob clothing or gelato with hot guys? Let me think... And we had some Malaysian food out there - the second Malaysian restaurant that I've been to in Toronto. Good stuff. Made it to class, then had my geography assignment due the next morning at 9am. My hot T.A. stood us up! He's in this geography students/T.A. union and was called out of town. Uh huh... I was disappointed. I drag my ass out of bed at 8am for him and he doesn't show up. Oh well. Worked, had to close which was fun. I swear, retail would be so much better if we didn't have to deal with customers.. that's what someone once said about architecture - architecture would be perfect in every way if people didn't live inside haha... went to see 2 fast 2 furious that night with Happy, Mel and Mel's friend Felix. IT WAS SO GOOD!!! I don't care what anyone says... here are some quality stills...
Had to work Friday and then went to see Down with Love with Melly... the one with Ewan McGregor and Renee Zelleweger. Interesting.. haha.. it was definitely a cute movie but most definitely a chick flick. Worked today and got to close again... I'm off to do some homework and then it's breakfast with Justin and Melly tomorrow morning followed by a 4-hour shift at Jacob and then dinner with Joy and June - my favorite twins in Toronto! hehe... yah okay fine so I don't know many twins in Toronto. Melly's birthday is coming up and it really sucks cuz she was trying to plan a party for either her birthday or the day after. And the problem is that there are so many conflicts with people she wants to invite - as well as the conflict of days... it sucked so bad when she was trying to plan it last night that she wasn't even looking forward to her birthday anymore. I don't get it man, I told her to do whatever the hell she wanted to on her birthday since it's HER day... but people suck. birthdays are days to hang out with your closest people, whether that means family or friends who act as a family net while you're away from home - no one should feel like they don't want their birthday to come because there are so many conflicts involved. easier said that done I guess. And my friend Steph Liu who is working at two daycares over in Virginia was told by one of the parents after she made a mistake and didn't file an accident report when one of the kids scraped a knee - that she was incompetent and shoudln't be working there. This girl is the BEST person to ever be able to work with kids... got to talk to Pat last night who couldn't sleep... silly boy. :) Dude... Wednesday was so weird! I was walking home from buying flowers on Avenue Rd where they have the cheapest and best flowers... and while waiting at the intersection to cross the road this truck rolls by that says 'TAYLOR' on the front and 'Taylor Moving Company' on the side. So I was instantly reminded of Tay who is in Taiwan completing his missionary service until mid-august.. and I'm thinking, hey, I bet a got a letter from him today and sure enough when I got home, there was a letter from him! It has happened so many times where I'll mail him something in the morning and get a letter from him in the afternoon. Craziness man. And Parsons is coming back for a weekend in July! very very happy. miss the boy lots and lots. Oh yeah, MAKE SURE YOU CALL YOUR FATHERS TOMORROW!!! Cuz it's daddy's day... my parents always get embarrassed cuz I'll send them cards and address the envelope to either "Mommy Tan" or "Daddy Tan". Poor babies. Have taken to listening to Craig David's 'Slicker than your average' and D'Angelo... so good. OKay I am OFF! wheee!
