My Pipa Instructor

This is my pipa instructor Ms Liu Yan.  She was admitted into the Anhui School of Arts in 1979 majoring in the pipa and graduated with distinctions in 1982.  In the same year, She entered the ChinaConservatory of Music studying the pipa under the pipa master, Prof Wang Fandi.  After graduating with Honours, she was employed in the Chinese Traditional Chamber Music Ensemble of the China National Trade Union as the principal of the plucked string section and pipa soloist.  Recently, she had just staged a solo piece "Hua Mu Lan" with the SAF Chinese Orchestra.
