Parsnips, as you well know, are root vegetables. Comparisons cannot be made to other comestibles, in its marvelous looks, its flavor, its wonderous presence. Okay, that's a bit of untruth. Actually, it looks like an anemic carrot, tastes a bit like parsleyed potatoes, and tends to be used primarily with roasts for Sunday dinner. But you're not here to hear the casual comment, you're here because you care, because you find parsnips add a certain something to your life, because you've realized that all along, parsnips have been in the background, waiting to bring you joy.
