These delicious treats are both fun to eat and bake....

  • Molasses Cookies
  • Raisin Oaties
  • Rice Krispies Squares


    Molasses Cookies

  • 1½ cup shortening
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cup molasses
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 6 3/4 cups flour
  • 1½ cup milk
  • Beat the shortening with the sugar. Add the eggs, mixing well. Sift together the salt, baking soda and flour. Add to egg mixture, alternating with the milk and finishing with the flour.

    Drop by tablespoons on a greased baking sheet and bake at 350°F 5-10 minutes.

    Raisin Oaties

    Create these delicious raisin oatmeal cookies and bake up some smiles!

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • ¾ cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • Cream together the butter, sugar , eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking soda and oats; mix well.

    Stir in the raisins. Drop by tablespoons onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake above oven center at 375°F, 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. remove to wire rack to cool. Makes about 36 Cookies.

    Rice Krispies Squares

  • ¼ cup butter or margarine
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereals
  • Melt the butter in a 4 liter pan. Add the marshmallows and melt on low heat stirring constantly until melted completely and smooth. Remove from heat adn add the vanilla.

    Add the Rice Krispies and mix well to cover them all. Place in a 13 X 9 X 2 " greased mold , pressing lightly. When cool cut into squares. Makes 24 2-inch squares.
