I have been racing this Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser for about five years. Before that it was my road car. It's not very standard any more.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
ENGINE 350 cu in Chevrolet small block bored 0.030" oversize, Edelbrock Performer manifold, 600 CFM vacuum secondary Holley carb, Allison XR700 electronic ignition, Genie extractors (headers)
COOLING 1986 Camaro "Towing Pack" cross flow radiator with engine driven 18" "Flex-Fan". Moroso oil cooler.
TRANSMISSION GM Turbo 400 with Hurst shift kit and additional tricks by my mate Risto at Midland Trans and Diffs in Midland Western Australia
TRANSFER CASE Original Toyota with low range machined out and hand brake removed
AXLES Original Landruiser front and rear except for 4.11 gearing and a Landcruiser HJ75 LSD in the rear.
BRAKES Front - Landcruiser HJ75 ventilated discs and calipers running on Toyota Hilux hubs and swivel housings. Rear - Toyota Hilux solid discs and calipers running on Hilux hubs and custom caliper mounts. Landcruiser HJ47 powered master cylinder.
SUSPENSION Custom built leaf springs with twin Old Man Emu racing shock absorbers supplied by ARB in Osborne Park Western Australia on each wheel. Custom radius rods on rear to prevent axle tramp under load built by Rocket Engineering of Kulin Western Australia.
