Paya Lebar Airbase is previously a civilian airport in 1955 until it became converted for military use in 1981. It currently houses the C-130 Hercules and F5 Tiger IIs.
With Strength Through Readiness as its maxim, Paya Lebar Airbase's logo portrays it to be modern and dynamic. The soaring fighter plane signifies the base's readiness and its people's progressive outlook. The clentched fist represents single-mindness, strength and courage with mastery of air operations. Teamwork is represented by the band around the wrist while the two lighting bolts show the airbase's operations and support role.
