The general office is hard for us to write about. They do so much work, that without them we could not preform the duties of the department. They handle all the paperwork that comes into the department. They file all the records and must keep track of everything. When you have an accident or a crime report is filed, they are the ones you must contact about obtaining the records for insurance. They handle all claims and pay all the bills. They do reports for various places and companies. During the day the general office is a very busy place, with people coming in or calling for different reports or figures. The members also are the ones who do the hand gun permits for county residents.

Cops on Line
Cuffs is the department's cat. Cuffs joined the department on March 15, 1997. He was a member of Detective Sergeant Shrider's family, but joined the department after showing that he could help the many children that come into the department. Cuffs is single, but thinks all of the department members as family. As well as helping us with children, he assist in typing and filing. Cuffs enjoys playing with balls, in what free time he has. Being serious, Cuffs has really helped out many times. He seems to have a soothing effect on our many visitors and we all have seen children taken by Cuffs and become relax when in the Sheriff's Department. Everyone helps "maintaining" him, but he is the office staff's pet.
