Maruzen Air Precision Shooting-2 Sniper Version Bolt Action Spring Sniper Rifle (Steyr SSG PIV)

Maruzen APS-2 SV
An actual (and thorough) review of this gun does excist.

Also known as the Steyr SSG PIV (it's real steel police/counter-sniper version), the APS-2 SV is a real piece of work. This is the best sniper rifle for the money. Not only can it be upgraded easily and cheaply, but it is very cheap ($265). The receiver, the bolt and bolt handle, the outer barrel, the scope mount, and the flash hider are all quality metal, coupled with a durable synthetic stock, which is adjustable for your shoulder. the inner barrel, which is 400mm, is brass, and has an inner diameter of 6.05mm. Stock, it outranges just about all AEGs that are not ugraded, but not by too much. It has pretty strong parts for a spring gun, so it can accept a stronger spring without losing reliability, although doing this for a prolonged period is not reccomended. Stock, it can hit a mansize target out to around 150-175 feet with a .29g Maruzen Grand Master BB. This is partially due to it's strong cylinder, but also to it's spring and tight barrel. When upgraded with a stronger spring, it can hit a chest-size area over 100 yards!!! Although it is bolt-action, I truely believe that a good sniper only has to take one shot-for one kill, although in the world of airsoft, where accuracy is not always precise, exceptions can be made. It has a fixed HOP-UP system that has been set for use with heavier BBs, perhaps the Maruzen .30 Sniper BBs, although the Maruzen Grand Master .29g BBs work, also. With light BBs, it is said that the HOP-UP is so powerful, that it makes the BB fly up out of view after 30-40 yards. The APS-2 SV can hold around 25 rounds in it's plasic box magazine (it can actually hold more, but it will not fit into the chamber), and is said to be very accurate and consistent at long ranges. With an upgrade package from Den Trinity, for $130 more, you can get your gun to fire around 450 fps (although it is a little challenging to cycle the bolt in a prone position), and with the 6.04mm Stainless Steel Barrel that they sell, I'm sure that it can achieve more fps, and better accuracy. The stock gun fires 274 fps, and the power is .98J. With no scope, it weighs in at 2,500g, and is 1,050mm long. The gun itself has been used for TARGET-SHOOTING competitions in Japan, so you know it must be good. It can also be converted to gas for $100-200, and it is said to be better, due to the fact that certain gas mixtures give you different velocities, and the bolt is not hard to cycle because of this conversion, unlike having a stronger spring put in, despite some accusations of gas eating the internals. Also, the gun is significantly quieter than AEG (due to the fact that AEGs have to run gears, etc., while a spring rifle is just that-a spring rifle), it can be used for "Black Ops", or "Covert Ops". It can be fitted with a scope (as long as the mount is Weaver or Weaver-related), a bi-pod, a sling, and a sound suppressor. Unfortunately, it has no iron sights, unlike it's counterpart, the Maruzen APS-2 and APS-2 Sporter. I will have pics of mine up soon.
One highly modified KICK-ASS custom gun is BillyBob's. He has quite a beast of a weapon. The picture below is his gun.

My Dream-er, BillyBob's APS-2 SV...drool...
