"My Life in the Military"

My career started from Cadets which to say was one hell of a time, the guys I met in the Seaforth Cadets were just like me but alot more crazier and mental, which to say, alot of those Cadets ended up in 2 Cdo, scary. We did alot of crazy stuff while in the Seaforth Armouries and it was sure different, especially coming from civi land. If it weren't for that tall short red haired dude talking me into joining up(Death Threat). Hell, where would I be now? Thanks, Jerry I stayed in Cadets for 3 yrs until I reached the age to join the Reserves(even though when I was in Cadets I vowed never to join them same as with the Reg Force), S---t Happens!

I joined the reserves in '79( I know troops, Militia Fag!) I lucked out on a trip to Germany the same year I joined up, Talk about being impressed seeing all the wild stuff that was going on over there, Cool! I even got to fire a M 60 from a Huey while were skimming over the ground zooming along, What a rush that was. I don't know how many of you knew but I got qualifed as a Basic Parachutist in the Reserves, Man, Id love to hear the comments, eh Hunky Bill! hee, hee, hee*~O I did alot of Infantry training with them and with the Reg Force but after I got my wings I said, "what the hell, I love it"! and joined up. I learnt alot of things about Pride, Dedication and Loyality while in the Reserves and knew I found my future with the Military, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, I thank you for all the Memories!
I got into the Reg Force June '82 and been all over this great land of ours. Been posted over to Germany, did a UN tour with the Airborne in Cyprus, Norway and all over Europe. The military has been very good to me except for a few run ins with the higher ups(knobs). So the total time I was in the Service would be unoffically 19 yrs without the reserve time 16 yrs. Seen and done some pretty crazy things but I don't want to get into that. I'm writing a book about my life in this Army and dont want to get into great detail just yet. I would say it will be positive and true about what goes on in the Combat Arms and the Wog Trades. Most of the stuff I've written is about how the troops are true professionals in their trade and the type of life we lead from the moment I entered the service and had the honour of serving with a bunch of great guys who'd give you their left nut to help you. If no ones been in this type of enviroment its hard to explain, but the meaning of comradity or brotherhood was something you just didn't pick up overnight, especially when you work, sleep, eat and party with them 24 hrs a day. So keep a lookout for it in the next year or 2(I really suck at typing ha, ha, ha). Check out the Pics below some from everywhere:
