The following is published as furnished by Robert E. Frank, member of the DD397 crew and member in charge of their reunions since 1975. Many of the crew who survived the loss of the DD397 went aboard the USS Helena CL50 and therefore combined reunions are held.
Also attached is an article written by the late Rear Admiral Joseph M Worthington, USN who was Captain of the DD397 in 1942. It was published in a 1965 edition of "Shipmate", which is an alumni publication of the USNA from which RAdm Worthington graduated with the class of '24.
Hopefully we will be able to make contact with someone who managed to salvage some pictures before loss of the ship. Anyone wishing to contact Robert Frank in regard to their reunions, or for any other reason, will find his address on the Association main page.
