I was born before WW2 and lived through the Korean War, Viet Nam War,
the Cold War and countless other scrapes throughout the world. Then came
the first Gulf War and now we are involved in the Iraq war. For my entire life I have known war. I served my country as a Navy Hospital Corpsman when my time came. I have always held my head high and never doubted that
the United States was the most wonderful country that had ever been on the face of the earth.
While our tropps are off in foreign lands fighting for our security and
our right to live freely on this earth there is something that I am
starting to notice. About forty years ago I started to see a break down
in the moral fiber of the United States. When Political Correctness
raised its ugly head and we sat around and did nothing about it, we
started our descent from being the most wonderful country in the world
to one that bows to the pressures and whims of everyone that protests.
Our wonderful United States that stands under the watchful eye of God
almighty has turned its back on God. We allowed the Atheists to take
prayer out of our schools and goverment. It was not good enough that we
allowed the very few to dictate to the many. We have judges that will
stand for the one person when there are millions of others that do not
want or accept what the person is proclaiming.
We have allowed the idea of "Our Body Is Our Own" to be dictated to the
land and in doing so we have murdered millions of un-born babies. We have
allowed the other second and third rate, two-bit countries of the world
to dictate to us what they tink we should do. All of this is going on
when there are literally millions of people that are wondering what can
be done to change what is going on. Since the beginning of time marriage
has been an institute between one man and one woman. Now, the few have
attacked our court system and again the judges of our land and our
leaders are falling pray to what the very few want over the objections
of the majority.
When we were allowed to pray in school and other places; When we were
allowed to worship our God by the instructions of our Constitution;
When we held that human life was sacred; When we held that marriage is
sacred between a man and woman; When we held that the rights of Murderers,
Terrorists, Thieves and Corporate Greed came after the rights of their
victims, we did not have the problems that we now face.
Fifty years ago the major problems in our schools was talking in class,
chewing gum and running in the halls. Since God has been taken our of land
and our schools the problems we now have to face are Murder, Drugs,
Pregnancy, Attacks (on students and teachers alike), Gangs and Attacks
by the children themselves.
Our nation no longer protects what is right but what is Politically Correct
at the time. Starting in the mid-sixties it became popular to protest
against our military and to protest against war no matter what caused
it. Instead of stopping this, we allowed it to continue and we all can
see what has happened to our Nation because of it. We are already to the
point where Political Correctness has gotten us to where we will not
protect our borders from people and terrorists that come here to do us harm.
Now, we are allowing the State and Federal judges to dictate to us who can
live and who can not and this is over the objections of the majority.
The sanctity of life has taken a back seat to what the judges of our land
sees fit to impose upon us. For the first time in my life I no longer
think the United States is the most wonderful nation on the earth. In fact,
I no longer think that any nation on the earth is wonderful.
I am not Politically Correct but my God will protect me. Someone my take
my life for steal my belongings but they can not take my soul.
May our Savior Jesus Christ see fit to turn this country around and direct
our leaders and judges to re-think what they are doing to the
United States. We as a nation can live side by side with Jews, Muslims,
Hindu and all other religions that profess their faith to a God but we
can not survive if we allow all other religions to flourish in our nation
and leave Jesus Christ out. Before this nation will ever be great again
we have to get down on our knees as a nation and pray to God and ask him
for forgiveness as we turn away from the things we have been doing.
