BRIAN J. DUNN
Greetings: |
||
Brian J. Dunn earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in history from Eastern Michigan University. For six years, I served in the Michigan Army National Guard as a radio operator (31Q and 31FV4) in the 156 Signal Battalion. In civilian life, I taught an American history course at Henry Ford Community College for three terms prior to beginning my current position as a nonpartisan research analyst for the Michigan State Legislature. |

The Dignified Rant is my foreign affairs blog. I began it in July 2002. In it, I comment on the war on terror and other foreign policy issues. Why do I bother? Well, for one, I enjoy it. Or rather, it brings some satisfaction that I'm doing something. And as time goes on, I've gained readers from around the globe. I hope that these readers share with me the conviction that America is fighting a just war for all of civilization--even those who condemn us in their comfortable lives. Ultimately, I blog because I never forget this image. |
The Dignified Rant: Home Edition is sort of a spin-off of the main blog. From July 2002 until November 2004, TDR:HE was just plain TDR. But space is filling up here and I was faced with the prospect of doing something in a year when I anticipated space being gone. So I split the blog into the national security issues blog noted at left and this blog which continues List of Annoying Things, Home Front, and Landfill. It also retains the National Security Affairs archives through November 2004.
This site will also be the home of some special projects on national security affairs issues that aren't appropriate for blogging. I really have a basic training book in me and I hope to start and serialize it here. It might even be interesting. |
