Welcome to Felix's Stories Page!
Felix is my name, and I was just about to tell you some of my most famous and interesting stories:
Whenever I went for a ride, I always had to make sure that I didn't get left in the car. I would see when the driver turned off the car, and then I would get into their seat (pushing them over if I needed to) and get ready to jump out the door. Momma learned this trick of mine, and she used to tell me to get in the back seat. Sometimes I would. I went shopping with grandpa one time, and he tried tying my leash around the window handle in the back seat (momma had warned him about my jumping out). I got so excited that I broke the handle. Grandpa never took me shopping again, but he always took me for nice walks!
Grandma was visiting one day and decided to put the sewing machine on top of the kitchen table. It has this foot pedal thingy that makes it go when you press it. She and momma were sitting at the table and talking, and I snuck in and laid down right on top of the foot pedal thingy. The sewing machine started going right then and momma and grandma started laughing so hard they cried!
Momma used to walk for the March of Dimes. One year, she took me with her. I walked four miles that day, and was the best looking dog in the group. Her friend Claire walked with us, and she got a candy bar. She held the candy down near my face, so I figured she wanted me to have it. I very gently took it from her, and she didn't even know I was there until I was eating the candy! Can you believe that?
Another time, Uncle John and Cousin Pete took me to the Flea Market. They have really wonderful things there, especially Elephant Ears. Being the King Dog that I was, I knew that I deserved an Elephant Ear of my very own. Uncle John and Cousin Pete were not paying any attention to me, so I grabbed one of the Elephant Ears and ate it all up myself! I never told anyone how I managed to get it either!!
My momma had a couch and a chair in her Florida room - well, it was actually MY Florida room - and I really liked them a lot. I liked them sooooo much that I chewed them up, so everyone would know that they were mine! Momma didn't like this, so she tried to donate them to Goodwill. They wouldn't take them either, so she had to send them with the trash guys. I laughed about that one!
One of my FAVORITE activities was chewing paper. I loved paper - it's the best thing to chew. I chewed up something called a silver certificate once - Uncle John wasn't too happy about that! I also loved to chew pencils (I got called a termite about doing that) and anything else they left laying around for me!
