Dimmis Stacy Gay is the dau of Arba and Elizabeth Buxton Stacy (see South Cemetery). George Baker Gay b. 1839-1893. 3rd Great Grandfather. Son of George and Dimmis Gay. Marietta Sibley Blodgett Gay b. 1839-1923. She is a descendent of the Blodgett/Blowgatt family. 3rd Great Grandmother. Edward Ernest Gay b. 1866-1934. Son of George and Marietta Gay. 2nd Great Grandparents. Son of George and Marietta Gay. Bertha Morse Gay is the dau of Alvertus and Mattie Morse (see Hillcrest Cemetery). Edward Gay b. 1903-1983. I had the pleasure of meeting grandpa. Every year he would attend the Big E and win ribbons for his prized goats. He is the son of Edward and Bertha Morse Gay. He is a descendant of John Gay of Dedham. Alice Howard Gay b. 1904-1969 . Grandma was very sick before she died. She is the dau of Edward and Geraldine Fairchild Howard. She is descended from the Howard Family of Rhode Island and the Fairchild family from CT and VT. Geraldine Fairchild Howard b. 1876-1965 . Mother of Alice Howard, Alice's father is Edward A. Howard b. 1865 VT. On the stone she is married to Everett Clapp Howard 1877-1964, 2nd marriage. I am told no relation to her previous husband. Everett Howard and Geraldine owned a litte restaurant in Belchertown. The Howard's were famous for their Strawberries. She is the dau of Elisha and Nancy Crown Fairchild. She is a descendent of Thomas Fairchild. Also on this stone is Arthur B. Howard 1838-1907 and his wife Samantha Chandler b. 1846-1899. They are the parents of Everett C. Howard. Silas Howard b. 1806?-1877 and his wife Naomi Towne b. 1808-1877. They are the parents of Arthur B. Howard. Their children: Georgianna b. 1853-1898 and Louise b. 1848-1900 and Harriet b. 1840-1903.
