Hi my name is Punkin. I came home with Mommy & Daddy on June 1, 1997. Before choosing a green cheek conure Mom & Dad read about different species of birds. They wanted a bird that would fit their lifestyle and their apartment. They looked in local pets store and also looked into breeders. I was at the pet store, each time they came there I would look as if to say "Take me Home." I chose my Mom & Dad. My Birdday is February 1, 1997. I was only 3 months to the day when they took me home.

Mommy & Daddy did a lot of reading before choosing me. Green cheeks Conures do have a tendency of being a one person owner bird. Back in January of 97 Mom found out that she isn't my favorite person. I have never had a DNA test to find out my gender.....Mom & Dad say they believe I am a female. I have attached myself to my Daddy. Sometimes I will even attack Mommy if she tries to go near my Daddy when I am on his shoulder. Mommy keeps trying slowly to develope a relationship with me again.





"I love being in my Snuggly" 3/2000

I am not much of a talker. My favorite words are "Come here give me a kiss." I will also say my name a little differently...."Punk Punk." One night supper was ready and Mommy called my brother, I said "BJ come here." I am trying to learn new words slowly. In the morning is my favorite time to talk. My cage will be covered and I will sit there and gibber jabber. In between the gibber I will say sentences and no one can figure out what I am saying. I am also a very clean bird. In the begining Mom & Dad thought there was something wrong with me. I wouldn't and still doesn't like to poop in my cage. Mom & Dad have taken it one step further. They say I am partly potty trained.


"I am a good climber and love to climb and hang out" 3/2000

I am the fussiest eater out of all the birds. Truthfully, I am a junk food birdy. Mom & Dad do not give me everything that I would love to eat. They try to give me healthy foods. I get angry however when I can't have a potato chip or a dorito. My favorite food is Sunflower seeds. They try to give me new foods every once in a while.





Mommy and I lately have been great together. She is working with me as long as I am not moody. She can get me on her and pet me and she shows me she loves me with of course "sunflower seeds". I still get nippy with her but there are other days when I want to be on Mommy. She is going to continue little by little with her in hopes we will be friends again.
