Jonathan F. Marks and his wife Lurena. Jonathan is the son of Stephen Marks and Susannah.

3rd Great Uncle and Aunt.

Sylvanus Marks and Hannah, son of John Marks and Martha Billings.

2nd cousin 3tr. .

Herbert Marks son of Sylvanus Marks and Hannah.

I found this rather strange but Herbert is buried next to Jonathan and his family. His Father Sylvanus has no one else around him. There must be a story there.

3rd cousin 2tr.

James Benjamin Marks son of Jonathan and Lurena. James was in Co. K, 16th Maine Infantry, along with his second cousin Calvin. James was captured at Gettysburg on the first day, released on parole at the end of August, 1863. He was on parole/leave until November, 1863, when he returned to the 16th. He was held at the Belle Isle the two months before his parole. Unfortunately, he was captured on August 18 1864, during the Battle of Weldon Railroad, the day before Calvin was captured.

1st cousin 3tr.

Mary Ellen Marks and Jonathan Bridges, Mary Ellen is the daughter of Jonathan and Lurena.

1st cousin 3tr.

Nancy Marks, daughter of Jonathan and Lurena.

1st cousin 3tr.
