I have two Dalmatians, Misa & Maggie.  Misa is the picture on the left and Maggie is the picture on the right.  Misa will be 4 years old December 2000.  Maggie will be 4 years old September 2001.

I have always wanted to have a dog when I got my own home.  I didn't know what kind of breed I wanted.  I did know that I wanted to rescue a dog that needed a good home.  December of 97, I received a call from a friend of my mothers.  She said that she had a friend of hers had a female Dalmatian that she could no longer care for.  Accepting the offer, we got Misa in January of 98.  We had Misa for about 5 months and I had decided that I wanted to rescue another dog.  Again, with no particular breed in mind.  I put the word out to my friends and family.  Then, one day, I got a call from a friend of mine.  She said she knew a family that had a female Dalmatian that they also could not care for.  Accepting the offer, we now have Maggie.  But, it was not at all what I expected.  I not only have one Dalmatian, I have two........

I hope you have enjoyed Misa and Maggie's stories.  Dalmatians are not all bad.  Yes, they do take a lot of caring for.  But, they are also very lovable.  They show a lot of affection.  Today, Misa and Maggie have settled into their new home.  They are great to have around.  I don't know how I could ever part with them.  They just bring joy to my life.  There is NEVER a dull moment in the house.
