Sparkle continues to show improvement. Seems he is getting stronger everyday. In fact, sometimes it takes two people to take him o-u-t-s-i-d-e. What a lovely dog. And the trust, the unconditional trust that only a pet can offer, is always there. Even when the strange men came holding something metal and pointed it at him, he just wandered over and sniffed the camera as if it might be a new toy. I really don't think Sparkle has had any of the "good life".

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SPARKLE!! You've been in our care for one month today!! And you've come a long way!! We're all proud of you, and thank you for drawing our attention to the issue of animal cruelty...again!
Sparkle's tale has been amputated, since it was causing him so much frustration. The hair on his back is beginning to fill in, but there is an area around the "shakey butt" area that had to be shaved. He enjoyed his treat, but the part he likes best is when he gets my hand inside his "bonnet" and can scratch around his ears. Today he was much more energetic than ususal. He kept pressing against the kennel door as if he was saying he wanted to go for a walk. His legs are looking much better.
