"Party"
December 1993 - October 1999
Party at 5 weeks of age
How was I to know when I picked up my little bundle of fur on that
cold January day, that I was taking home one who would become the best friend I had ever
had? That she would guard our home and children and make them her own. That she would
wiggle herself into the hearts of our friends and loved ones too. That she would become
such a part of me that I still look for her in the early mornings that we shared . . . and
still cry at the very mention of her name. How was I to know that she would teach me so
much and die so young? How was I to know that she would start me on a Quest in Aussies
that continues now even after she has gone? How does one sum up such a great life?
Party was the Gentle Reigning Queen at Quest. She was goodness
personified, and died far too young. Goodbye Party, the pleasure was definitely ours.
Don't think of her as gone
away -
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets -
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost -
And she was loved so much.
by Ellen Brenneman
Party's quiet gentle nature has been passed on to her offspring
like Bosco who is shown here enjoying a quiet moment with "Mom".
Below are some more of our "memories" of our beloved
