Hints....

*

Everybody can use little tidbits and helpful hints occasionally. You know, when you're at home and all of sudden you need to do a quick clean up job and don't have the right product in your cabinet? That's what I mean!

I am providing the ones I've used, although I'm sure, there are a lot of other great, proven ideas out there that work as well.

Miscellaneous

Alka Seltzer

  • Clean your jewelry by dropping two Alka Seltzer tablets into a glass of water for two minutes.

Baking Soda

  • For clearing blocked drains, throw a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 3 cups of boiling water. If still clogged, follow up the baking soda with 1 cup white vinegar. Cover the drain so the mixture doesn't bubble out. Leave overnight. In the morning, flush with boiling water.

Olive Oil

  • Use a bit of olive oil to moisturize cuticles.
  • Lubricate Measuring Cups and Spoons by rubbing olive oil on your measuring tools for easy clean-up of sticky substances like honey, etc.
  • To control hair frizz: Comb a bit of olive oil through dry hair to tame the frizz and flyaways.

Vinegar

  • Pour full strength on unwanted grass and weeds on walks and driveways.
