LoneStar Bettas
Johnny M. Nail founded LoneStar Bettas in 1996. The then current president of the International Betta Congress (IBC) encouraged him to establish a chapter of the IBC in Texas. Johnny contacted Texas area IBC members to determine interest in forming an IBC chapter. From that corps group of Siamese Fighting Fish enthusiasts came the LoneStar Bettas (LSB). The group has grown from that small first meeting to expand across Texas and even into Oklahoma. Our current membership is in excess of 40 active participants.
