Kelsey's Dollhouse

Kelsey's dollhouse started it all. One Christmas... I won't tell you which one because then you'll know how long it took me to ALMOST finish it... I decided that I would build a dollhouse for my granddaughter. She was so patient, poor baby. I finally decided that she'd waited long enough and delivered it to her this way. Kelsey and I will put the shingles and chimney on, together, sometime when I go up for a visit. The wicker chair, plant hanger and plant, pictures, baskets, rugs, the firescreen and other small projects are all things that I made. The more I did, the more I learned and the more I became addicted. Now I've attended lots of miniature shows, taken classes, subscribe to three miniature magazines, joined NAME and have untold numbers of unfinished things, so I guess I'm officially a miniaturist. Kelsey has become quite the collector, taking every opportunity to buy something new for her house.

The Bedroom

This bedroom is the little girl's room. She even has her own tiny dollhouse!

The Glencroft

This is the Glencroft by Greenleaf. It is still in pieces, in its box, under the bed in the guestroom but will someday be my dollhouse.

FLASH... The kit is out from under the bed and construction has begun!
I will be posting pictures of my progress, which will probably be slow.
Click on the picture of the Glencroft to access those pictures.
