This quilt has 12 blocks although only 2 are shown here. (See whole quilt) It is from The Cat's Meow. I made it for my niece and god daughter, Courtney. I used Eleanor Burns' method of fusible interfacing applique. This method works SO well and holds up well to repeated use and washing, unlike direct fusing. It is very finely machine stippled. |

The Lovebirds, June 1999. Whole cloth, machine quilted. Made for a local Cancer Society charity auction. I enjoy doing very close (1/8 - 1/4 inch apart) stippling which makes this 17 x 21 inch miniature quilt appear trapuntoed. The crosshatch stitching lines are 1/2 inch apart. The quilting took 9 solid hours to complete. |
