Heat isīnt all you need ( I donīt agree with Lennon, McCartney "Love is all you need") Even in Sweden we do need cooling systems, specially in working areas. |
Here in Sundsvall where I live, there is one major step taken. To my knowledge, it is a female engineer how hatched this idea. The hospital is cooled with melting snow. That will work in tempered regions, where you have a lot of snow during the winter. You simly dump the snow that is moved away from the streets on a waterproof ground and insulate the top of it, just as much as is needed to regulate snowmelting. Then, when the snow melts, it turns into freezing cold water which is piped thru the hospital main frame. I know a few other methods to use to get chilly houses (move up north for ex). Now kidding he he. To look around, and see whatīs available is the matter. Curiosity is the sign of mankind, and I canīt imagine why we are so afraid to try any new system that will give us a better place to live on. We are notorious to go the other way around, and make our world filthier. A drilled hole in the ground may be used directly to get refriggeration power, if there is very cold winter temperatures, (and if a few other conditions are met). if you donīt have the cold winter, but instead there is often brigt sky, it is possible to use solar heating to get cooling, it is called "desiccant cooling" and is marketed by a company named "Munter ltd". |
