SOLAR SYSTEM
CONTROLLING DEVICES
To control a solar heating system you need a differential
thermostat.
It has to trace the varying radiation from the sun momentarily and command
the system accordingly.
|
To weigh the incoming energy, you need to monitor the system momentarily,
and thatīs where loggers fits in. They are able to store data by
the second, if you want so, for later processing in a computer.
"Loggers" is a series of tools which has become popular, and quite
frequently used recently.
Their objective is monitoring various data from a period of time, such as
temperature, flowrate and so on.
I found an all covering description on the net about a logger, which has
fairely cheap peices. You may download it, or ask me if you want any help,
or have any questions related to it.
I have designed a differential thermostat, which has proven high
reliabilty during ten years of use. Itīs free for download as well.
So is also the demo-version Solar simulation program that we used
forecasting our customers solar energy.
I am sorry not able make Windows programs, therefore
DOS-version will do.
If you are using Windows 95/98 you can do as follows.
Make a new directory to put the unzipped files.
You can now start the program thru doubble click on LARTEC11.COM
This will produce a slow computer and faint screen, but if you want
a better option do this.
Find LARTEC11.COM thru "This computer" at the desk.
Press right mouse-button and pull the icon to the desk.
Release button. Choose "make shortcut here". Close all windows
and doubble click at the icon just created.
At the upper left corner there is a DOS-icon, click on it
and choose profile, screen, full.
Commit, Ok.
You will get a full screen programme, and the computer is working
at normal speed.
I have a Swedish version of Windows, so maybe your headlines and
icons are named different, but hopfully you will interprete my
words correctly.
For downloading, see below.
Have a nice day

LARTEC
The solsim-program is revised, and an improved english version is available.
"lartecsd.zip" (svensk) or "larteced.zip" (english) containing,
LARTEC11.COM (the program)
SOLPARA.DIN (datafile with some defaultvalues)
+ (some fictive datafiles)
WHEATHER.WIN (weather for Sundsvall 1997)
+ some more
HELPFILES.TXT (help inside the program is now available)
HJMANUSV.TXT (manual for the program)
These files are virus scanned thru MSAV but I canīt guarantee virusfree
files anyway. Downloading zipfiles are safe until you extract them, but
selfextracting files, such as ".BAT", ".COM" or ".EXE" are not.
