Paintball Tips For Newbies
Well I finally decided to write up some information for all you Newbies. Remember this is all in my own humble opinion.
Goggles
Remember Safety needs to be priority!
JT Spectra:
Best Goggles system out there! One of the most Technologically advanced goggles on the market today! They have every thing you would want in a mask. Wetex Foam (When the foam gets wet which it will you can change the foam out and let the other dry really nice) Single or Thermal lenses(Spend the extra money on thermal lenses if you live in a colder or wet area). Overall these are the best goggles for the money..*****$40-$50
Scott Extreme Stalker:
They've got a nice Vision range, and Durability and very good Price.** $30
Vents Rage:
These Goggles are light and have good peripheral vision. One bad point about them is I find that the mask often tears away from the Goggles.** $35
Guns
Mine and probably everyone's favorite subject. Here are my personal suggestions for what gun to buy. Remember these are all my own opinion.
Stock Class
PGP:
One of the Great old guns. The PGP's is a nice solid gun that does not cost you an arm and a leg. The new ones run about $75-80. There are some bad sides to this gun. For one CO2 is a pain to switch and they can only hold 10 balls. They work great as a backup gun or a Beginner gun.**
P68-SC:
The P68-SC(Made by Sheridan also) is like its sister the PGP, but features a few improvements like longer barrel, 15 shot capacity, and more modern. The P68-SC will run ya about $100.***
Phantom:
Probably the best mass-Produced gun on the market. With good gas-efficiency, and Great out-of-the-box accuracy the Phantom is the best Stock Class gun ever built. It will cost you about $235.00 ****
Pump
Maverick:
Also know as the Traacer. The maverick is a great quality pump gun and the Price $75 you can't go wrong! Remember ASA so you can connect C02 bottles to it. ***
Hornet:
Just an upgraded version of the maverick. This will cost you about $100 ***
SL-68II:
The Tippmann SL-68 is the most ruggedly made pump action paintball guns made and has a track record of quality performance to prove it.$120****
Sterling:
The Sterling has an incredibly smooth action and a fast fire rate that enables it to compete with the semi's. The Sterling features: outstanding accuracy, extremely smooth pump action, auto-trigger.$195-$210****
Semi-Auto
This is were the BIG Money comes in most all of these guns can be upgraded up through the nose.
VM-68:
The VM-68 is a smooth cycling gun allowing the player to fire off round after round in succession without paintball breakage. This Gun can be thrown from a cliff and still work fine. Great gun! $165 **
Spyder:
The Spyder is jammed packed with features which make it an outstanding buy. Very upgradable $160-$180.***
Carbine 68:
The Carbine paintball gun is designed for aggressive playing on the paintball field. Alot of fields rent these out. $190***
AutoMag:
The AutoMag is Sweet but with a bitter bite. AutoMag paintball guns are one of the fastest cycling guns available. WARNING does not like liquid CO2. Loves Hp. Very upgradable $350-$550***
AutoCocker:
The Auto Cocker is one of two semi-auto paintball guns on the market that fires from a closed-bolt position and does it with deadly accuracy! Also loves Hp. This is more upgradable than the AutoMag. You can do much more with is gun. WARNING only for players that like to tinker and love the sport. Price very from $380-$1300. *****
ELECTRONIC SEMI-AUTO
The Angel is arguably the worlds finest and most technically advanced professional grade semi-automatic Paintball guns. The accuracy puts it in a league of its own. Price this one will cost you. $1300 But well worth it. *****
Shocker Sport:
The Shocker 4X4 has fast cycling operation, light & compact design, and low pressure operation. $850 ***
Other Equipment you should have
Barrel plug (A must on all fields Remember safety first! Cost is only $1.00-$3.00)
Gun Oil $2-$5
VL-2000 Loader Not needed for all guns but works nice $65-$85
Feed elbow Remember not all guns come with the right size for your hopper $4-$6
20 Oz. Tank An extra one is all ways nice.$45-$50
High pressure 68cu. $250-$260 114cu $280-$300 Very nice.
20# Bulk tank for CO2 $50-$200
Scuba Tank for High Pressure $130-$160
Tools to disassemble your gun $20-$100
Kneepads (They are Great who cares what other people say) $15-$60
Squeegee want to know how to make them? $3-$14

Hat / Bandanna $2-$15
