SKIMBOARDING
I have been taking photos of skimboarding for about 2 years now, most of my pics are from around the Redington Beach area in Florida. I got into skim photography from my EXboyfriend Chris Splendore, I just started out video taping him and his friends and then my video camera broke, but I loved doing it so much, so I had to do something, I couldn't just sit there and watch them do these crazy things, and not be able to record any of it, so I just decided to start taking photos of them instead, and it has turned out to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me, becuase I finally found something I"m good at, and I'm getting some recognition for it too, which makes me feel really good. Another person REALLY need to thank, is Greg from SkimCity.... if it wasn't for him I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be where I am now, he has helped me in so many ways, and I am so thankful to him for every last bit of it.

Redington Beach is on the Gulf Coast so the waves don't get too big, but they're still good enough to ride. Some of my photos are published in SKIM Magazine based in Laguna Beach, CA, they've just let out there 2nd issue. My photo's have also been in The Sentinel, a newspaper in NC, and a magazine called Coast based in Virginia. I've taken the photos for every skim contest so far (that i've known about)except for ones on the west coast, but I've made it to Kill Devil Hills, NC; PanamaCity, FL; Venice, FL, and the 2 we had around here. I didn't get to go to the finals in Dewey Beach, DE, or Vilano. :o( Check out SkimCity its a really cool page all about skimming, you can buy boards, check out contests,
