This link takes you to the page about this day: Opening day skate and band stuff   *****  NEWS FLASH   *****   Just letting you know that Kuraby park is now finished... and IT IS A RIPPER!!!!!!   How to get there: (From the Street Directory: Map 1)   Train: just get on the Beenleigh line and get off at Kuraby station and it is within eyesight of the station itself.   Drive: Off Beenliegh Road in Wally Tate Park. (Coming past the station, cross the train line and turn first left into the park and ride carpark, or if the park itself is open, drive right up to beside the skate park and proceed to rip!)   Other Notes:   Take a broom and a lot of wax/file/spare set of trucks, as this place is in need of a good coping grind down with concrete still covering a lot of metal. There are still a lot of pebbles and the concrete dust that you would usually find at a new park. I now have some nice little pictures for you to look at. As there are six more, it is easier for you to click on the link to see the individual pics.   There is a big rail over the smaller box and another following the shape of one of the offset pyramids, both well shaped and a good truck width for grinds and slides. These pics were taken before they went in.   This place has had a lot of good skaters session here and many happy words of praise for the designers, builders and anyone who made this place what it is.
