For grinds, North Bend is terrible. It is obvious that this was a place designed for flow and air time. The only grindable things are a low 3' rail down a bank, a 6' curb surrounding the park, and a 1' rail off to the side. The cereal bowl is fun for transfer launches, but not much else. Same for the halfpipe. It's cool for transfers (major air), but if you're looking for coping, keep looking. The entire place is vert-everything on one side (even the 3' quarterpipe has vert) which is nice. You can also hit the triangle of the funbox and go over the "rail" into the landing. A 90 degree hip off of the halfpipe that I love finishes off the park. It's a fun park, but it needs more to grind.
Drinks: A water fountain near the bathrooms, I don't know if it actually works
Bathrooms: About 500 ft away from the park
Landscape: Open/windy means a quick dry (if it's wet)
Other: Play fields, BMX track
Coping: A square death rail and a curb surrounding the park
Jumps: Second rate pyramid, 90 degree hip, fun box, launch out of halfpipe
Crowds: Rarely packed, in my time there I've only met one real jerk, so the locals are pretty cool
Specials: Small park, almost everything goes to vert. I've never seen a bowl quite like this one.
Directions: Take I-90 to North Bend. Take a left, go through the mall area into town. Go over the bridge and tracks and take a right at the stop light. Go until you see the Les Schwab, the left turn to the park is right after it. The sign is for the Skate Bowl & ball fields.
