WALL RIDES>>>>Wall rides, like the name says, is riding on a wall. Wall rides are very fun to do and are all over the place. You can either bunny hop off the ground and try to ride the wall or take a bank up to the wall. When doing a wall ride lean your body away from the wall and tilt your bike. Try to come at the wall at an angle. You can also try a wall bounce which is like a tailtap on a wall. Go straight at the wall ride it up, put on the breaks turn around and bounce back down the way you came. |

SUB BOXES>>>>Sub boxes are basically a grind box on top of a quarter pipe or a bank. In order to grind or stall a sub box you have to turn about 90 degrees. A number of tricks can be performed on sub boxes like: tailtaps, manuals, grinds, stalls and nose picks. Sub box riding a different then quarter pipe riding so if you can do these tricks on quarter pipes doesn't mean you can do them on a sub box. When trying tricks on a sub box make sure you lean away from the sub box and towards the place you came. |
RAILS>>>>Rails are kick ass but they can kick your ass. They can be extremely dangerous if they have stairs. The bigger the rail the cooler it is to do. You have to be very good at grinding and bunny hopping before you think about trying a good rail. If the rail doesn't have stairs by it try it. |

Trees>>>>It is amazing some of the shit dope riders pull off of trees. Just look at the picture. People have also pulled backflips off of trees. Trees are mainly used for fakies and tailtaps. Check out the tree before you try anything on it. |

ICE PICK>>>> An ice pick grind is when you grind just on your back peg. It helps to know how to manual when trying ice pick grinds because they may require balance depending on how long you do them. You should also be very used to feeble grinds before you try an ice pick. Get used to doing ice pick stalls before you try the actual grind because you will get used to it with out getting as injured. To do an ice pick pull up hard and get your front tire high in the air like a manual and push the back end of your bike out to the side so your back peg is on the coping and your front wheel is a little away from the grind area not over it. |
|
TOOTH PICK>>>>A tooth pick grind is when you grind with just your front peg. Before trying an tooth pick you should be used to smith grinds because you will be used to getting your back tire up higher then your front. You should try a tooth pick stall before the grind because it will help you get used to it with out killing yourself. To do a tooth pick bunny hop get your bike level and lean forward and away from the coping and push the front end down and over onto the coping. You want to keep the back end of your bike as far away from the coping as you can because when you come off of the grind your wheel might go on top of what you are grinding or your back peg will land on the coping. |
|
CROOKED>>>> A crooked grind is when your opposite front and back pegs are grinding. You can only to a crooked grind on a rail. When you attempt a crooked grind do not push your wheel to far to the other side or you will be screwed. You will probably slay your sprocket doing crooked grinds. |
|
NOSE MANUAL>>>>A nose manual is just like a manual but on your front tire instead of back. Nose manuals require a front break and are evil. |
|
NOSE PICK>>>>A nose pick is like a tail tap except you land on your front tire instead of back. Make sure you have good front breaks before you try a nose pick. |
ABOOBICA>>>>An aboobica is basically a tail tap without the turning. To do a aboobica go straight up the ramp, bank or curb and hop up put on the back break, lean back, and land so your front tire is up in the air and your back tire is at the top of what you are doing it on. Don't lean back too far or you will eat it. After you stall in that position hop backwards and let off the break and roll down fakie the way you came. |
FUFANU>>>>A Fufanu is like a tail tap on the coping or edge of an object. Before you try a fufanu you want to make sure you got tail taps mastered. If you are doing a fufanu on a quarter pipe just go straight up it and once you start to get to the top lean back and pull up and turn about 35 degrees or so (so you can drop back in easily) and put on the break and balance like you are doing a tailtap and then turn around and drop back in. Fufanus take a lot of practice and should be tried first on a small quarter pipe. |
