Coaching Staffs Expectations:

  • Runners will be at practice on time

  • Runners will see coach Boyd if they need to miss

  • Runners will deport themselves as representatives of the TEAM at all times

  • Runners will adhere to all policies of the VHSL, WJCC school district and Jamestown High school

  • Violations will be judged on an individual basis with the following guidelines:

1st offense- 1 week service to the TEAM
2nd offense- 2 weeks service to the TEAM
3rd offense-  one meet suspension
4th offense-  three meet suspension
5th offense- expulsion from the team

Requirements for Earning a Varsity Letter:

  • Attends every practice, except when excused

  • Displays good sportsmanship at all practices and meets

  • Demonstrates teamwork at practice and meets

  • Exhibits good conduct in school

  • Maintains a "C" average or attends help sessions

  • Must do one of the following:
   
      Score in 50% of the dual meets
      Medal in a varsity meet
      Member of District Championship TEAM top 15
      Member of Regional Championship TEAM top 30
      Member of State Championship TEAM entire TEAM
