Tibetan For Windows
Download Page!

Tibetan For Windows is now available as a free download! This is the complete latest version 1.3, and contains:

Tibetan fonts (Robillard LTibetan and LMantra) in TrueType format for Windows.

The Tibetan Keyboard which lets you type in Wylie, Tibetan typewriter or phonetic input modes, and see the Tibetan script with automatic stacking. (Requires Microsoft Word for Windows or WordPerfect for Windows, works on all versions of Windows except NT.)

The Tibetan File Converter generates Tibetan script, phonetics, Wylie or ACIP format from a variety of input file formats. Works on all flavors of Windows.

The ACIP Converter reads a text file in the Asian Classic Input Project format (including Sankritized Tibetan, which the File Converter above has difficulty converting), and generates a Tibetan For Windows RTF file. You can open this in any RTF editor (such as Microsoft Word or WordPad) and see the Tibetan script. It will run on all flavors of Windows (95, 98, NT) except 3.1.

Tibetan Dictionary

This is a dos-form dictionary; but it is very good one and the only Free Tibetan dictionary available so far on the net. The original program was designed for dos for windows 3.1. I have modified this software, so that you can run in windows 95/98/2000. Just download the file and double click the file; the program will automatically set up for you. After installed, there will be an ico (Tibetan Dic) in you desktop. Just click the ico, the dictionary will be open. Please don't change the directory in which the program was installed, otherwise it will not work... If you have problems regarding how to use it, please feel free contact me: fqing@ucalgary.ca
